What to Wear to a Wedding
What to Wear to a Wedding
Wedding Season is Here! After two years of canceled and postponed events, the party planning is in full gear and we are ready to have some fun. But as the invitations start to roll in, the inevitable questions start to arise ... What to Wear? Are flats ok for a wedding by the beach? Do I need a tie for an afternoon affair? Here we break it all down so you can RSVP with out hesitation and celebrate in style.
Black Tie Bash
The name says it all. For men that means a tuxedo and for women a long gown. You can have a little fun with the color or fabrication of a tuxedo - navy is a great option or a long tie if a bow tie feels too traditional. This is the time to break out the bling to add some sparkle to your dress - a statement earring, a bold cuff or cocktail ring and don't forget the finishing touch like a metallic clutch.

Afternoon Affair
This can be the hardest invitation to decode. The venue is a good indicator of the type of attire required. A more traditional spot like a country club will call for a more traditional outfit like a sportcoat and tie for the men and a cocktail dress for the ladies. Something more casual like an outdoor vineyard or someone's backyard, there is usually more leeway.

Beach Blowout
When the invite calls for sand and sun - the biggest question is what to wear on your feet. A beach wedding is the perfect place for some festive flats. And the guys can get in the spirit as well - a linen shirt and light color khakis with no socks is perfectly appropriate, unless the dress code states otherwise.
