RENEE LEWIS

After spending several years studying and collecting jewelry of the past, Renee Lewis was determined to make jewelry that had never been made before. After collecting numerous small diamonds and jewels that could not be used in a conventional way, she discovered a unique way to incorporate all of the beautiful stones, in a vessel of faceted cut crystal, thus creating the iconic "shake". Renee has been creating the "shakes" since the 1980's, all of which are handmade and one-of-a-kind, using various jeweled combinations. Renee and her team still make jewelry by hand in New York City, using antique stones garnered from antique pieces of jewelry.
